The KENNAMETAL 3760350 is a CNMG643MP indexable turning insert in grade KCM25, manufactured from solid carbide with a multilayer CVD coating of TiN, TiCN, and Al2O3 applied by MTCVD process. The 80-degree diamond (C-shape) insert geometry features a negative rake angle of 6 degrees, a neutral hand, and a chamfered and honed cutting edge style. With a 3/4-inch inscribed circle, a 1/4-inch thickness, and a 3/64-inch corner radius, the 3760350 is built for high-load turning operations and is installed by machinists and CNC turning specialists working on steel, stainless steel, superalloys, and titanium workpieces.
This insert belongs to the KENNAMETAL KENLOC series and is suited for roughing and medium machining operations on a CNC or manual turning center. The MP chip breaker geometry supports turning, facing, and boring applications. The KCM25 grade is characterized by high toughness for steel (P) applications and moderate wear-resistance with toughness for stainless steel (M) applications, making it a versatile choice across production and job-shop environments where workpiece materials vary. The insert conforms to ANSI insert code CNMG643 and ISO insert code CNMG190612.
Designed for use in KENNAMETAL KENLOC series toolholders that accept CNMG643 (ANSI) or CNMG190612 (ISO) indexable inserts with clamp and pin retention. Suitable for multi-use turning, facing, and boring applications on CNC or manual lathes.
Indexing and replacement of turning inserts should be performed with the machine fully powered down and the spindle locked. Use the appropriate KENLOC clamp wrench to seat the insert securely before resuming cuts. Inspect the insert pocket and seating surface for chips or debris before indexing to a fresh edge. Follow the toolholder manufacturer's clamping torque guidance and applicable shop safety procedures when handling carbide inserts.
