The KENNAMETAL 3758095 is a CNMG432RP turning insert in the KENLOC series, designed for external and internal turning operations on CNC lathes and manual turning centers. It features a solid carbide substrate with a multilayer CVD coating - TiN, TiCN, and Al2O3 applied via MTCVD process - delivering wear resistance and thermal stability across a wide range of cutting conditions. The insert has an 80-degree diamond shape, a neutral hand orientation, and a negative rake angle with a chamfered and honed cutting edge. With four usable cutting edges, this insert offers extended tool life per unit. It is suited for turning, facing, and boring applications.
This insert is intended for machining steel, stainless steel, and superalloys including titanium - workpiece material codes P, M, and S. The KCM25 grade and RP chip breaker geometry make it well matched to medium-duty turning scenarios where chip control and edge integrity are priorities. The insert is held by a clamp-and-pin system and conforms to both ANSI and ISO standards, fitting standard CNMG toolholders used in production and job-shop environments. Machinists and CNC operators in metalworking trades are the primary installers and users of this insert.
Designed for use in standard CNMG toolholders that accept a 432 insert size, compatible with clamp-and-pin holding systems. Conforms to ANSI and ISO standards under industry standard number CNMG432RP. Suitable for machining steel, stainless steel, and superalloys including titanium (material codes P, M, S).
Installation is performed by qualified machinists or CNC tooling technicians. Power down and lock out the machine spindle before seating or indexing the insert. Ensure the toolholder pocket and clamping pin are free of chips and debris before installing the insert to maintain proper seating. Do not exceed the recommended maximum depth of cut for the insert geometry; refer to the cutting data in the KENNAMETAL catalog for feed and speed parameters specific to the workpiece material.
