The KENNAMETAL 3758035 is a DNMG432RP KCM15 grade solid carbide turning insert designed for precision metal removal in CNC and manual turning applications. The insert features a multilayer CVD coating - TiCN over Al2O3 - applied via MTCVD process, giving it high wear resistance and toughness suited to interrupted and continuous cuts. It measures 15.5 mm (0.621 inches) in length with a 0.5-inch inscribed circle and a 1/32-inch (0.0313-inch) corner radius. The 55-degree diamond (rhombic) shape provides a narrow nose angle for profiling and contour turning. Licensed machinists and CNC programmers specify this insert for production turning in steel and stainless steel environments where tool life and surface finish consistency are critical.
The 3758035 is rated for turning, facing, boring, back turning, and back boring operations. Its RP chip breaker geometry is optimized for roughing and medium machining passes. Primary workpiece materials are steel (ISO P), stainless steel (ISO M), and superalloys and titanium (ISO S as secondary). The neutral hand orientation suits standard right-hand and left-hand toolholders in the KENLOC clamping system. The insert is held by clamp or pin methods, making it compatible with standard KENLOC-style toolholders used across a wide range of production turning cells.
Designed for use in KENLOC-series toolholders that accept DNMG432 (ISO DNMG150408) inserts held by clamp or pin. Compatible applications include turning, facing, boring, back turning, and back boring on steel, stainless steel, and superalloy and titanium workpieces.
Installation is performed by a qualified machinist or toolroom technician. Power down and lock out the machine spindle before indexing or replacing inserts. Seat the insert fully in the pocket and verify the clamping pin or top clamp is secured before resuming cuts. Do not exceed the maximum depth of cut of 0.050 inches (1.25 mm) per pass for recommended performance.
