The KENNAMETAL 3755909 is a solid carbide corner radius end mill designed for precision milling in non-ferrous metal applications. With a 1/2 inch diameter, a 0.09 inch corner radius, and three right-hand spiral flutes on a coarse pitch, it delivers controlled material removal with reduced chipping at the cutting edge. The high helix geometry promotes efficient chip evacuation, which is critical when machining aluminum, copper, brass, and similar materials. At 4 inches overall length with a 5/8 inch length of cut and a 1/2 inch straight cylindrical shank, it fits standard end mill toolholders. The bright uncoated finish is appropriate for non-ferrous work where coating buildup on softer materials would be a concern.
This end mill is built for roughing operations on non-ferrous metals in CNC machining centers and manual mills. The extended reach design, with a 2-1/4 inch reach length and a neck diameter of approximately 0.4685 inches, allows access to features requiring clearance beyond the cutting zone. It is a single-end, centercutting tool, meaning it can be used for plunge entry as well as peripheral and slot milling. Machinists working in job shops, aerospace component manufacturing, and general metalworking will find this geometry well-suited to aluminum alloy and other non-ferrous workpieces.
Designed for use with standard end mill toolholders accepting a 1/2 inch straight cylindrical shank. Intended for non-ferrous metal workpiece materials including aluminum and similar alloys.
Installation is performed by a machinist or tooling technician using a compatible end mill toolholder and collet or set-screw retention system. Ensure the machine spindle is fully stopped and locked out before inserting or removing the tool. Verify shank engagement depth meets toolholder manufacturer minimums to prevent pullout under cutting loads. Do not use this uncoated tool on ferrous materials, as it is optimized for non-ferrous applications.
