The KENNAMETAL 3755897 is a solid carbide corner radius end mill designed for high-performance milling in non-ferrous metal applications. It measures 1/4 inch in diameter with a 3/8 inch length of cut, a 0.03 inch corner radius, and a 4 inch overall length. The three-flute, right-hand spiral configuration runs a coarse pitch with a high helix style, making it well suited for roughing operations. Extended reach geometry with a 2-1/8 inch reach length allows access in deeper cavities without sacrificing rigidity. The bright uncoated finish is optimized for non-ferrous workpiece materials where coating adhesion is not required.
This end mill is intended for use in CNC machining centers and milling machines handling non-ferrous metals such as aluminum, brass, and copper alloys. The centercutting design allows plunge entry directly into the workpiece. It belongs to the ABDE series and is compatible with HC 20M through HC 32M hydraulic sleeves metric with inch bores and HC-CV Form AD toolholding systems. The straight cylindrical shank and 1/4 inch shank diameter fit standard collet and hydraulic chuck setups used in production and job-shop environments. Installation is typically performed by a machinist or toolroom technician.
Designed for use with HC 20M through HC 32M hydraulic sleeves metric with inch bores and HC-CV Form AD toolholding systems. Fits standard 1/4 inch straight cylindrical collet chucks. Optimized for non-ferrous metal workpiece materials as designated by material application code N.
Installation and tool changes should be performed by a qualified machinist with the machine spindle fully stopped and the control in a safe state. Secure the shank to the published clamping torque specification for the toolholder manufacturer before running. Verify runout with a dial indicator after clamping, as submicron carbide tools are sensitive to excessive runout that accelerates edge chipping. Follow the machine manufacturer and toolholder manufacturer guidelines for balanced tooling at the intended spindle speeds.
