The KENNAMETAL 3755693 is a DNMG332MP KCM15 grade solid carbide turning insert designed for high-performance metal cutting on CNC lathes and turning centers. Coated with a multilayer TiCN and Al2O3 MTCVD CVD process, this insert delivers moderate wear resistance combined with toughness suited for steel and stainless steel applications. The 55-degree diamond (rhombic) insert shape, 0.375 inches inscribed circle, and 0.03125 inches corner radius make it well suited for roughing and medium machining operations. It features 4 cutting edges, a neutral hand orientation, and negative rake geometry for rigid, stable cutting in demanding production environments. Installation is performed by qualified machinists using clamp or pin holding methods.
This insert is built for turning, facing, boring, back turning, and back boring operations. Primary workpiece materials include steel (P) and stainless steel (M), with secondary suitability for superalloys and titanium (S). The MP chip breaker geometry is optimized for roughing through medium machining passes. The KCM15 grade offers moderate wear resistance and toughness for steel, transitioning to high wear resistance for stainless steel applications. It is part of the KENLOC series and conforms to both ANSI (DNMG332) and ISO (DNMG110408) standards, making it compatible with standard DNMG-style toolholders used across common turning platforms.
Designed for use in standard DNMG-style negative-rake toolholders conforming to ANSI and ISO insert seating specifications. Suitable for steel (P), stainless steel (M), and superalloys and titanium (S) workpiece materials. Compatible with turning, facing, boring, back turning, and back boring operations as a multi-use insert.
Installation is performed by a qualified machinist or tooling technician. Power down and lock out the machine spindle before indexing or replacing inserts. Seat the insert fully against the pocket locating surfaces before tightening the clamp or pin to manufacturer toolholder specifications. Inspect the insert pocket for wear or debris before seating a new edge to prevent premature edge failure.
