The KENNAMETAL 3754367 is a CNMM433RP grade KCP30 carbide turning insert designed for general-purpose metal cutting in turning, facing, and boring operations. The insert carries a multilayer CVD coating of TiN, TiCN, and Al2O3 applied via MTCVD process, delivering wear resistance and thermal stability when cutting steel. It measures 12.90 mm (0.5077 inches) in length with a 1/2-inch inscribed circle and a 3/64-inch (0.0469-inch) corner radius. The RP chip breaker geometry controls chip flow under a range of feed and depth conditions. With four cutting edges and a negative rake angle, this insert is suited for production turning where consistent tool life and edge security are priorities. It is secured via clamp and pin holding methods within compatible toolholders.
This insert is intended for steel workpiece materials (ISO material group P, material grades C5 and C6). Typical applications include external turning, facing passes, and light boring on CNC lathes and turning centers in both job shop and production environments. The KENLOC series designation indicates compatibility with KENNAMETAL KENLOC-style toolholder systems. The chamfered and honed cutting edge style reduces edge chipping on interrupted or variable-stock cuts. Maximum depth of cut is 1.25 mm (0.0492 inches). The insert is neutral-hand, making it usable in both right- and left-hand setups where the toolholder permits.
Designed for use in KENNAMETAL KENLOC-style toolholders that accept CNMM433 geometry inserts with clamp and pin retention. Meets ANSI and ISO standards for CNMM insert geometry.
Insert replacement and toolholder setup should be performed by a qualified machinist or CNC tooling technician with the machine in a safe, de-energized state and the spindle locked. Seat the insert fully against the toolholder pocket before engaging the clamp and pin; partial seating can cause insert fracture or poor surface finish. Inspect the insert pocket for damage, chips, or debris before indexing to a fresh cutting edge. Follow machine tool manufacturer torque specifications for clamping hardware.
