The KENNAMETAL 3754365 is a CNMG432RP indexable turning insert in the KENLOC series, designed for general-purpose metal cutting on CNC lathes and manual turning centers. Manufactured from solid carbide and finished with a multilayer CVD coating of TiN, TiCN, and Al2O3 in the KCP30 grade, this insert is engineered primarily for steel machining. The diamond-shaped 80-degree geometry with a negative rake angle and chamfered-and-honed cutting edge provides a stable, wear-resistant cutting action. With four usable cutting edges and an RP chip breaker, it delivers consistent chip control across a range of turning applications. The insert measures 12.9 mm (0.508 inches) in length with a 0.5-inch inscribed circle.
This insert is suited for steel turning, facing, and boring operations in production and job-shop environments. The KCP30 grade targets P-class workpiece materials, making it most effective on carbon steels, alloy steels, and similar ferrous materials. The RP chip breaker geometry is optimized for light-to-medium depths of cut with a maximum depth of cut of 0.05 inches (1.25 mm). Licensed machinists and CNC operators running roughing or semi-finishing passes on steel components will find this insert a direct fit for standard CNMG-style toolholders using clamp-and-pin holding methods. It is rated for both turning and boring applications, making it versatile across multiple setups.
Designed as an OEM-style replacement for CNMG432RP inserts used in KENLOC-series toolholders. Industry standard number CNMG432RP confirms fitment in any ANSI- or ISO-compliant CNMG toolholder accepting a 0.5-inch inscribed circle insert with a 0.2031-inch hole diameter and clamp-and-pin retention.
Installation is performed by a qualified machinist or CNC operator. Before seating the insert, power down the machine and ensure the turret or toolholder pocket is clean and free of chips or debris that could affect seating accuracy. Use the appropriate KENLOC clamp and pin hardware to secure the insert; do not overtighten the clamp screw beyond toolholder manufacturer specifications. Inspect the cutting edge and chip breaker for integrity before resuming cutting operations.
