The KENNAMETAL 3754062 is a CCMT-style indexable turning insert designed for precision metal removal on steel workpieces. It carries the KCP30 manufacturer grade and features a multilayer CVD coating system — TiN, TiCN, and Al2O3 applied via MTCVD process — for elevated wear resistance and thermal stability at the cutting edge. The insert measures 9.67 mm (0.3808 inches) in length with a 3/8-inch inscribed circle and a 1/32-inch corner radius. The LF chip breaker geometry and honed cutting edge style promote controlled chip formation during light to moderate cuts. This is a screw-on mounting style insert with two usable cutting edges per insert.

This insert is suited for turning, facing, and boring operations on steel in both production and job-shop environments. Compatibility

Installation Notes

Installation is performed by machinists or CNC operators during planned insert indexing or replacement. Power down and lock out the machine before accessing the toolholder pocket. Use the appropriate Torx or hex key to seat and torque the clamp screw — follow the toolholder manufacturer torque specification. Inspect the pocket and seating surface for chips or damage before seating the new insert to ensure proper contact and runout.
