The KENNAMETAL 3754015 is a solid carbide turning insert carrying industry designation WNMG432RN in the KCP40 manufacturer grade. It features a multilayer CVD coating stack of TiN, TiCN, and Al2O3 applied via MTCVD, designed to balance wear resistance and toughness across a range of cutting conditions. The insert has an 80-degree trigon shape with a neutral hand orientation, a 0-degree rake angle, and a negative side clearance geometry. With 6 available cutting edges and chamfered, honed edge prep, it is suited for roughing and medium machining operations. Licensed machinists and CNC turning specialists install this insert in KENLOC-compatible toolholders.
This insert is intended for turning, facing, and boring operations on steel and stainless steel workpieces. The KCP40 grade is characterized as high toughness for steel applications (ISO P workpiece class) and moderate wear-resistance with toughness for stainless steel applications (ISO M workpiece class). It is rated for use in both roughing and medium machining chip load scenarios. The KENLOC series designation confirms compatibility with Kennametal KENLOC-style clamp and pin insert holding systems. This insert conforms to both ANSI (WNMG432) and ISO (WNMG080402) standard designations.
Designed for use in KENLOC-series toolholders accepting WNMG432 (ANSI) or WNMG080402 (ISO) inserts with clamp or pin holding methods. Primary workpiece materials are steel (ISO P) and stainless steel (ISO M). Conforms to ANSI and ISO insert standards for interchangeability with compatible toolholder systems.
Installation is performed by machining professionals in a CNC or manual turning environment. Power down and lock out the machine spindle before changing inserts. Seat the insert fully and evenly in the pocket before tightening the clamp or pin to avoid insert rocking. Inspect the pocket and seating surfaces for chips or damage before each insert index to maintain dimensional accuracy.
