The KENNAMETAL 3753912 is a solid carbide turning insert in the WNMG432RP geometry, coated with a multilayer AlTiN/AlCrN PVD coating under the KCK20 grade designation. It belongs to the KENLOC series and is engineered for high wear resistance when cutting steel and cast iron. The insert measures 8.69 mm (0.684 inches) in length with a 0.5-inch inscribed circle and a 1/32-inch (0.0313-inch) corner radius. With six cutting edges and a neutral hand orientation, it delivers consistent performance across roughing and medium machining operations. This insert is suited for use on CNC lathes and turning centers in both roughing and medium machining passes on steel (ISO P) and cast iron (ISO K) workpieces. The RP chip breaker geometry is optimized for controlled chip evacuation during moderate to heavy material removal. The 80-degree trigon shape provides a strong cutting edge with adequate relief geometry for a wide range of turning applications. The insert is held in place by clamp or pin methods, making it compatible with standard KENLOC toolholders designed for WNMG-style inserts.
Designed for use in KENLOC series toolholders that accept WNMG432 (ANSI) or WNMG080402 (ISO) style inserts with clamp or pin holding. Suitable for turning, facing, and boring operations on steel and cast iron workpieces.
Insert installation and indexing should be performed by a qualified machinist or tooling technician with the machine in a fully stopped and locked-out state. Use the appropriate torque wrench and KENLOC clamp hardware specified for the toolholder to seat the insert correctly. Inspect the insert pocket for wear, chips, or debris before seating a new insert. Never use a damaged or improperly seated insert, as it can cause insert fracture or workpiece damage during cutting.
