The KENNAMETAL 3753783 is a solid carbide turning insert in the DNMG543MN geometry, coated with a multilayer MTCVD CVD system consisting of TiN, TiCN, and Al2O3. Designed for the KENLOC toolholding system, this insert carries the KCP30 manufacturer grade, which delivers moderate wear resistance and toughness for steel and stainless steel applications. The 55-degree diamond (rhombic) shape, neutral hand orientation, and negative rake with chamfered and honed cutting edges make it a dependable choice for general turning operations. Four usable cutting edges are available per insert. The insert measures 19.38 mm in length with a 5/8-inch inscribed circle and a corner radius of 3/64 inch.
This insert is rated for roughing and medium machining operations and is suited for turning, facing, boring, back turning, and back boring on steel (ISO P) and stainless steel (ISO M) workpiece materials. The KCP30 grade targets conditions where moderate wear resistance paired with sufficient toughness is needed to handle interrupted cuts and variable stock conditions typical in job-shop and production environments. Clamp and pin insert holding methods are both supported. It conforms to ANSI insert code DNMG543 and ISO insert code DNMG190612.
Designed for use with KENLOC series toolholders that accept DNMG-style inserts. Compatible with clamp and pin holding systems. Suited for steel (ISO P grade materials) and stainless steel (ISO M grade materials) workpieces.
Installation is performed by machinists or toolroom technicians on CNC or manual lathes. Power down and lock out the machine spindle before seating or replacing the insert. Ensure the KENLOC toolholder pocket and clamping hardware are clean and free of chips before installing. Inspect cutting edges before each use and rotate or replace the insert when wear or chipping is observed to maintain dimensional accuracy and surface finish.
