The KENNAMETAL 3753772 is a solid carbide turning insert in the CNMG322MN configuration, graded KCP30 and finished with a multilayer CVD coating of TiN, TiCN, and Al2O3 applied via MTCVD process. It carries an 80-degree diamond (rhombic) shape with a neutral hand orientation and a negative rake and relief angle. The insert measures 9.67 mm (0.3808 inches) in length with a 3/8-inch inscribed circle, a 1/8-inch thickness, and a 1/32-inch corner radius. It features four cutting edges and is held by clamp or pin methods. CNC machinists and toolroom operators install this insert in KENLOC-compatible turning toolholders for production and job-shop turning applications.
This insert is suited for roughing and medium machining operations on steel and stainless steel workpieces. The KCP30 grade is engineered for moderate wear resistance and toughness to high toughness on steel (P-class materials) and moderate wear resistance and toughness on stainless steel (M-class materials). Typical applications include external turning, facing, and boring. The MN chip breaker geometry supports interrupted and continuous cuts in those material classes. It conforms to ANSI insert code CNMG322 and ISO insert code CNMG090308, making it straightforward to cross-reference in standard toolholder catalogs.
Designed for use in KENLOC-series toolholders accepting CNMG322 (ANSI) or CNMG090308 (ISO) inserts. Multi-use tool rated for turning, facing, and boring operations. Confirm toolholder pocket style and clamping method before installation.
Installation is performed by qualified machinists or toolroom technicians. Power down and lock out the machine spindle before indexing or replacing inserts. Use the appropriate torque wrench and seating hardware specified by the toolholder manufacturer — do not overtighten the clamping screw, as this can fracture the insert or damage the pocket. Inspect the toolholder pocket and locating pin for wear or debris before seating a new insert.
