The KENNAMETAL 3753554 is a TNMG666RN solid carbide turning insert finished with a multilayer MTCVD TiCN and Al2O3 coating in the KCP25 grade. Designed for the KENLOC clamping system, this insert features a 60-degree triangular shape with a neutral hand orientation and a negative rake and side clearance geometry. The KCP25 grade delivers moderate wear resistance paired with toughness, making it well suited for interrupted and continuous cuts in steel and cast iron. With six usable cutting edges and a chamfered and honed cutting edge style, this insert offers extended service life per insert consumed. Licensed machinists and CNC turning specialists are the primary installers of this type of consumable tooling.
This insert is intended for roughing and medium machining operations including turning, facing, and boring. It performs on primary workpiece materials classified under the P group (steel) and N group (cast iron and non-ferrous metals). The ANSI insert code TNMG666 and ISO insert code TNMG330924 allow direct cross-referencing with equivalent insert specifications across tooling catalogs. The RN chip breaker geometry supports chip control across a range of feed and depth-of-cut conditions typical in production turning environments. This insert is compatible with KENLOC series toolholders that accept clamp and pin holding methods.
Designed for use in KENLOC series toolholders that accept clamp and pin insert holding methods. Compatible with ANSI insert code TNMG666 and ISO insert code TNMG330924 seat specifications. Suitable for multi-use turning, facing, and boring applications on steel and cast iron workpieces.
Installation is performed by a qualified machinist or CNC tooling technician. Power down and lock out the machine spindle before seating or indexing the insert. Use the correct KENLOC clamp and pin hardware specified for this insert size to ensure proper seating and clamping force. Inspect the insert pocket and seating surfaces for debris or damage before installing a new edge to prevent premature insert failure.
