It features an 80-degree trigon (W-shape) with a negative rake angle and 0-degree relief, making it well suited to heavy-engagement roughing and medium machining operations. The insert carries a multilayer CVD coating - TiCN base with an Al2O3 top layer applied via MTCVD process - delivering high wear resistance on steel and moderate wear resistance with toughness on aluminum and non-ferrous materials. The inscribed circle measures 0.5 inches, insert length is 0.684 inches, insert thickness is 0.1875 inches, and the corner radius is 0.0313 inches. This insert is designed for turning, facing, and boring operations in production and job-shop environments.
