The KENNAMETAL 3753219 is a DNMG432FN solid carbide turning insert in the KCP10 grade, designed for high-wear-resistance machining of steel and cast iron as well as moderate-wear and toughness applications in aluminum and non-ferrous materials. The insert features a multilayer MTCVD coating combining TiCN and Al2O3 for extended tool life under continuous and interrupted cutting conditions. It carries a 55-degree diamond (rhombic) shape with a neutral hand orientation, a negative rake, and a negative side clearance. With four usable cutting edges and a honed edge style, this insert delivers consistent finishing-class performance in production turning environments. Licensed HVAC technicians, machinists, and toolroom professionals specify this insert for steel roughing and finishing passes where wear resistance and edge stability are critical.
The DNMG432FN KCP10 insert is suited for turning, facing, boring, back turning, and back boring operations on steel and cast iron workpieces. The FN chip breaker geometry is optimized for finishing cuts with a maximum depth of cut of 0.0492 inches (1.25 mm). The insert seats into KENLOC-compatible toolholders using clamp and pin holding methods. It conforms to ANSI insert code DNMG432 and ISO insert code DNMG150408, making it interchangeable across tooling systems built to those standards. Typical applications include CNC lathe operations in job shops, production machining cells, and maintenance machine shops handling ferrous and non-ferrous components.
Dimensionally compatible with KENLOC-series toolholders using clamp and pin insert holding. Conforms to ANSI insert code DNMG432 and ISO insert code DNMG150408. Suitable for toolholders designed to accept DNMG-style inserts with clamp or pin retention.
Insert installation should be performed by a qualified machinist or toolroom technician. Power down and lock out the machine spindle before changing inserts. Seat the insert fully against the pocket locating surfaces before engaging the clamp or pin to avoid micro-movement during cutting. Inspect the insert pocket for chips or wear before each insert change, as pocket damage will affect edge repeatability and surface finish.
