The KENNAMETAL 3753203 is a DNMG432FF indexable turning insert in the KENLOC series, manufactured from solid carbide with a multilayer TiCN and Al2O3 coating applied via MTCVD and CVD processes. It features a 55-degree diamond shape, a negative rake geometry, and a honed cutting edge for consistent performance in steel and cast iron applications. The insert has a 0.5-inch inscribed circle, a 0.0313-inch corner radius, and an insert length of 15.50 mm (approximately 0.6102 inches). Four cutting edges are available per insert, maximizing value per piece. The FF chip breaker geometry is designed to control chip formation during moderate cutting conditions. This insert is installed by machinists and CNC operators in production and job-shop turning environments.
This insert is suited for external and internal turning, facing, boring, back turning, and back boring operations. Primary workpiece materials are steel (P-grade) and cast iron (K-grade), consistent with the KCP10 grade designation. The KENLOC series is a well-established platform for negative-rake, clamp-and-pin insert holding systems used in medium to general-purpose turning. Maximum depth of cut is 1.25 mm (0.0492 inches), making it appropriate for finish and semi-finish passes.
Designed for use in KENLOC-series toolholders that accept DNMG-style inserts with clamp and pin holding. Compatible with ANSI and ISO standard tooling systems. Suitable for steel and cast iron workpiece materials per P and K material grade classifications.
Installation should be performed by a qualified machinist or CNC technician. Ensure the machine spindle is fully stopped and the toolholder is secured before seating or indexing the insert. Use the correct clamp and pin hardware specified for the KENLOC toolholder to ensure proper insert retention and repeatability. Inspect the insert pocket and seating surface for chips or debris before installation to prevent seating errors.
