The KENNAMETAL 3751500 is a CNMG432MN indexable turning insert manufactured from solid carbide and finished with a multilayer MTCVD TiCN and Al2O3 coating under the KCP05 grade designation. It belongs to the KENLOC series and features an 80-degree diamond shape with a neutral hand orientation and a negative rake angle. The insert measures 12.9 mm (0.5077 inches) in length with a 0.5-inch inscribed circle and a 1/32-inch (0.0313-inch) corner radius. The chamfered and honed cutting edge geometry is suited for consistent performance across medium to roughing turning operations. Four cutting edges are available per insert, supporting cost-effective tooling management.
This insert is intended for turning, facing, and boring operations on steel and cast iron workpieces, corresponding to ISO material groups P and K. The MN chip breaker geometry handles a maximum depth of cut of 1.25 mm (0.0492 inches) and is well matched to production environments where reliable chip control on ferrous materials is a priority. Licensed machinists and CNC operators in job shops, production machining facilities, and tool rooms are the primary installers and users of this insert. It mounts via clamp and pin holding methods to compatible KENLOC toolholders.
Designed for use in KENLOC series toolholding systems that accept CNMG432 inserts secured by clamp and pin methods. Primary workpiece material compatibility includes steel (ISO P) and cast iron (ISO K). Multi-use application covers turning, facing, and boring operations.
Installation is performed by qualified machinists or CNC tooling technicians. The machine spindle must be fully stopped and the toolholder secured before seating or indexing the insert. Ensure the insert pocket and locating pin are clean and free of chips before clamping. Do not exceed the maximum depth of cut specification for this insert geometry, as doing so can cause edge fracture or premature coating failure.
