The KENNAMETAL 3682514 is a solid carbide milling insert carrying ISO designation EDCT10T304PDERLD and ANSI code EC1004ELD. Manufactured in the EDCT series with Kennametal grade KC725M, this single-sided, right-hand insert features a parallelogram shape with a 70-degree included angle, a positive rake geometry, and an LD chip breaker. The cutting edge is honed for consistency. A physical vapor deposition (PVD) TiAlN coating provides thermal and wear resistance suited to aggressive milling passes. Two cutting edges per insert, a 15-degree relief angle, and a 0.016-inch corner radius define its geometry. Insert holding is by screw clamp. This insert is installed by machinists and CNC tooling technicians on milling machines used in production and job-shop environments.
This insert is engineered for milling steel, stainless steel, superalloys, and titanium, corresponding to ISO material groups P, M, and S. It is compatible with the Kennametal Mill 1-10 cutter series. Typical applications include face milling, shoulder milling, and general-purpose material removal on ferrous and high-temperature alloy workpieces in both roughing and finishing contexts. The positive geometry and LD chip breaker support chip control across a range of cutting conditions on these demanding materials. The insert meets both ANSI and ISO dimensional standards.
Designed for use with the Kennametal Mill 1-10 cutter series. Insert conforms to ANSI and ISO standards for EDCT-series toolholders accepting size 10T304 inserts with an inscribed circle of 0.266 inches.
Insert installation and replacement should be performed by a qualified machinist or CNC tooling technician with the machine spindle fully stopped and locked out per facility lockout/tagout procedures. Use the appropriate Torx or hex key as specified by the cutter body manufacturer when seating the screw-clamp; do not overtighten. Inspect the insert pocket and clamping screw for wear or debris before seating a new insert. Verify correct insert orientation (right-hand) before resuming cutting operations.
