The KENNAMETAL 3668915 is a solid carbide chucking reamer from the RMS series, designed for precision hole finishing in metalworking and machining operations. It features a 10.00 mm reamer diameter, a 103.00 mm overall length, and a 20.00 mm helical flute length. The tool carries a TiAlN coating for improved wear resistance and thermal protection at elevated cutting speeds. With 6 flutes and right-hand cutting direction, it delivers smooth, consistent material removal. Licensed machinists and CNC operators install this tool in machine chucks for tight-tolerance bore finishing on a wide range of workpiece materials.
This reamer is suited for production and job-shop environments requiring accurate hole sizing in the 9.00 mm to 10.00 mm diameter range. The straight-cylindrical shank seats directly in standard ER collet chucks, drill chucks, or floating holders. The helical flute geometry promotes chip evacuation and reduces chatter during through-hole and blind-hole reaming operations. It is appropriate for use on CNC machining centers, knee mills, and drill presses where spindle runout is controlled and appropriate feed and speed parameters are observed.
Designed as an OEM-style replacement and standard stock reamer for machining applications requiring a 10.00 mm finished bore diameter within the 9.00 mm to 10.00 mm reamer diameter range. Compatible with straight-cylindrical shank toolholders including ER collet systems accepting a 10.00 mm shank diameter.
Installation and use should be performed by qualified machinists familiar with reaming operations and proper toolholder torque procedures. Ensure the spindle and toolholder are clean and free of debris before seating the shank to maintain concentricity and avoid runout. Power down the machine and lock the spindle before changing tools. Do not exceed the recommended feed rate for the workpiece material, as chucking reamers are not designed for aggressive stock removal.
