The KENNAMETAL 3660445 is a solid carbide corner radius end mill designed for high-performance material removal in non-ferrous metal applications. It features a 3/4-inch mill diameter, a 1-1/2-inch length of cut, and a 0.12-inch corner radius that reduces stress concentration at the cutting edge and extends tool life. With three flutes and a high-helix spiral geometry, the tool promotes efficient chip evacuation. The bright/uncoated finish is suited for non-ferrous materials where coating buildup on the rake face is a concern. A licensed machinist or CNC programmer typically specifies and runs this tool in precision milling operations.
This end mill is built for roughing operations in non-ferrous metals such as aluminum, copper, and brass. The coarse pitch and right-hand flute direction support aggressive stock removal while the centercutting geometry allows plunge entry. The straight cylindrical shank measures 3/4 inch in diameter and accepts standard collet chucks, shrink-fit holders, and compatible hydraulic sleeves. Compatible toolholders include HC 1/2 through HC 1-1/4 Hydraulic Sleeves Inch with Inch Bores, HC 20M through HC 32M Hydraulic Sleeves Metric with Inch Bores, and HC-HSK Form A holders. The short length type keeps deflection low in high-feed roughing passes.
Compatible toolholders include HC 1/2 through HC 1-1/4 Hydraulic Sleeves Inch with Inch Bores, HC 20M through HC 32M Hydraulic Sleeves Metric with Inch Bores, and HC-HSK Form A. Primary workpiece material is non-ferrous metal (material code N). Series: ABDE.
Installation is performed by a CNC machinist or toolroom technician. Ensure the machine spindle is fully stopped and locked out before changing tooling. Verify shank diameter tolerance and holder bore compatibility before clamping; the shank tolerance on this tool is +0.00000/-0.00051 inch. Torque collet nuts or hydraulic clamping systems to the toolholder manufacturer's specification - do not exceed rated clamping force.
