The KENNAMETAL 3660425 is a solid carbide corner radius end mill designed for precision milling in non-ferrous metal applications. It features a 3/8-inch diameter cutting head with a 0.03-inch corner radius that reduces stress concentrations at the cutting edge and extends tool life in slotting and peripheral milling operations. The 3-flute, right-hand spiral geometry provides efficient chip evacuation at high helix angles. With a short flute length of 3/4 inch and a straight cylindrical shank, this single-end, centercutting tool is suited for CNC machining centers and manual mills where controlled material removal in aluminum, brass, copper, and similar non-ferrous workpieces is required. Machinists and tool-and-die professionals are the primary users.
This end mill is built for roughing operations in non-ferrous metals, identified by material code N. The short length-of-cut geometry minimizes deflection during aggressive cuts. The coarse pitch and high helix style promote chip flow away from the cut zone, making this tool well suited for pocketing, profiling, and slot milling in aluminum alloys and similar materials. It is also noted as compatible for use with HC-HSK Form A toolholding systems, giving it a direct application in HSK-equipped machining centers where runout and rigidity are critical.
Designed for use with HC-HSK Form A toolholding systems. Intended for non-ferrous metal workpieces including aluminum and similar materials. Part of the KENNAMETAL ABDE series.
Installation is performed by a qualified machinist or CNC setup technician. The machine spindle must be fully stopped and the tool-change mode engaged before loading or removing the end mill from the collet or toolholder. Verify runout with a dial indicator after clamping to confirm seating within acceptable limits. Follow the machine manufacturer and tooling manufacturer feed-and-speed recommendations for the specific workpiece material and depth of cut before running production.
