The KENNAMETAL 3658864 is a solid carbide corner radius end mill designed for high-performance material removal in non-ferrous metal applications. The cutter measures 3/4 inches in diameter with a 0.06-inch corner radius, a 3-inch length of cut, and a 5.25-inch overall length. Built from submicron-grade carbide with a bright uncoated finish, this tool delivers consistent edge integrity in aluminum, copper, brass, and similar workpiece materials. With three flutes and a high helix spiral geometry, it promotes efficient chip evacuation and smooth cutting action. Licensed machinists and CNC tool-and-die operators are the primary installers of this end mill.
This end mill is suited to roughing operations on non-ferrous metals where long-reach access and a fine corner radius are required. The 3-inch length of cut accommodates deeper pockets and slots without requiring a tool change. The straight-cylindrical shank at 3/4 inches diameter is compatible with ER single angle standard collets, making it a straightforward fit for most standard CNC machining centers and manual milling setups. The single-end, centercutting configuration allows plunge entry as well as conventional peripheral milling. The coarse pitch and high helix angle work together to reduce cutting forces and improve surface finish on non-ferrous workpieces.
Designed for use with ER single angle standard collets. Intended for non-ferrous metal workpiece materials including aluminum, copper, and similar alloys. Series AADE long-length configuration.
Installation is performed by a machinist or CNC setup technician. Always power down and lock out the machine spindle before seating or removing the tool from the collet holder. Verify collet bore size matches the 3/4-inch shank diameter before tightening. Confirm runout with a dial indicator after tool installation to maintain dimensional accuracy and extend tool life.
