The KENNAMETAL 3658851 is a solid carbide corner radius end mill designed for high-performance milling of non-ferrous metals. It features a 3/4 inch mill diameter, a 2.25 inch length of cut, and a 0.06 inch corner radius that reduces stress concentrations at part features and extends tool life compared to sharp-corner end mills. The three-flute, right-hand spiral geometry with a high helix style promotes efficient chip evacuation in aluminum, copper, brass, and similar materials. This is a single-end, centercutting tool, meaning it can plunge directly into a workpiece as well as perform peripheral and slot milling operations. Installation should be performed by a qualified machinist or CNC setup technician. Verify shank runout is within acceptable limits after clamping, as excessive runout accelerates corner radius wear and degrades surface finish. Follow the toolholder manufacturer torque specifications for collet nuts and hydraulic sleeve clamp pressures.
