The KENNAMETAL 3658847 is a solid carbide corner radius end mill designed for high-performance material removal in non-ferrous metal applications. It features a 3/4 inch cutting diameter, a 1-1/2 inch length of cut, and a 0.06 inch corner radius that reduces stress concentration at the cutting edge and extends tool life. With three right-hand spiral flutes and a high helix angle, this end mill promotes efficient chip evacuation and smooth finishes in aluminum, copper, brass, and similar materials. It is center-cutting and configures as a single-end tool. The bright/uncoated submicron carbide construction is optimized for the cutting forces and edge sharpness demands of non-ferrous machining.
This end mill is suited for CNC machining centers and manual milling machines working non-ferrous metals in production and job shop environments. The short flute length and straight cylindrical shank make it a practical choice for slotting, profiling, and roughing passes where rigidity matters. It is compatible with HC 1/2 through HC 1-1/4 hydraulic sleeves with inch bores, HC 20M through HC 32M hydraulic sleeves metric with inch bores, and HC-HSK Form A toolholders per manufacturer specification.
Designed for use with HC 1/2 through HC 1-1/4 hydraulic sleeves with inch bores, HC 20M through HC 32M hydraulic sleeves metric with inch bores, and HC-HSK Form A toolholders. Primary workpiece material is non-ferrous metal (material code N) per manufacturer specification. Series AADE.
Installation is performed by machinists or tooling technicians on CNC or manual milling equipment. Ensure the machine spindle is fully stopped and the tool changer or quill is secured before loading or removing the end mill. Seat the shank fully in the holder and torque retention screws or hydraulic sleeves to the toolholder manufacturer specification. Verify runout with a dial indicator before production cuts, as excessive runout on a three-flute tool accelerates uneven wear.
