The KENNAMETAL 3658840 is a solid carbide corner radius end mill designed for material removal in non-ferrous metal applications. It carries a 0.5-inch mill diameter, a 0.03-inch corner radius, and a 2.5-inch length of cut, making it well suited for extra-long reach finishing and roughing passes where a standard-length tool would fall short. The three-flute, right-hand spiral geometry promotes efficient chip evacuation, and the bright uncoated carbide surface is appropriate for the non-ferrous workpiece materials this tool targets. The submicron carbide grade delivers the edge toughness needed in demanding cuts.
This end mill is built for use in CNC machining centers and manual mills where non-ferrous metals such as aluminum, brass, or copper alloys are being machined. The extra-long 5-inch overall length suits deep-pocket milling, tall workpiece profiling, and setups where extended reach is a requirement. The single-end, centercutting design allows plunge entry as well as peripheral and slot cutting.
