The KENNAMETAL 3658819 is a solid carbide square end mill designed for precision milling in metalworking and machining applications. With a 0.2500 inch mill diameter, a 1.2500 inch length of cut, and a 3-1/4 inch overall length, this single-end tool delivers consistent performance in finish and semi-finish milling operations. The 37-degree helix angle promotes efficient chip evacuation while reducing cutting forces. Three right-hand spiral flutes provide a balance of rigidity and cutting action suited to a wide range of workpiece materials. The bright, uncoated surface finish makes it a versatile choice for general-purpose ferrous and non-ferrous machining.
This end mill is engineered for use in CNC machining centers, knee mills, and manual milling machines where a 1/4 inch shank toolholder is standard. It is well suited for slotting, profiling, and peripheral milling in production and toolroom environments. The centercutting geometry allows plunge entry directly into the workpiece, expanding its usefulness in pocketing and ramp-entry operations. Machinists working with aluminum, brass, cast iron, and mild steel will find this tool appropriate for a broad range of setups. Its compact diameter makes it useful for detail work and tight-tolerance features.
Designed as an OEM-style replacement and standard tooling option for 1/4 inch collet chucks, end mill holders, and toolholders used in CNC and manual milling setups requiring a 1/4 inch shank solid carbide square end mill.
Installation should be performed by a qualified machinist or CNC operator. Ensure the spindle is fully stopped and the machine is in a safe, locked-out state before changing tooling. Seat the shank fully in the holder to the recommended engagement depth and torque set screws or collet nuts per toolholder manufacturer specifications. Inspect the cutting edges for chips or damage before each use.
