The KENNAMETAL 3640762 is a solid carbide jobber-length drill designed for high-performance hole-making in demanding materials. It measures 6.90 mm in diameter with a 140-degree split point and an overall length of 91 mm (3.5827 inches). The drill carries an AlTiN coating that improves heat resistance and extends tool life in abrasive and high-temperature cutting environments. A web-thinned, tapered-web geometry reduces thrust and improves chip evacuation. Coolant-through capability delivers cutting fluid directly to the cutting edge, making this drill suitable for deep-hole and high-feed applications. Licensed machinists, toolroom operators, and CNC setup technicians are the primary users.
This drill is rated for use in steel, stainless steel, and high-temperature alloys, making it appropriate for aerospace, energy, and general metalworking applications. The 5xD flute-to-diameter ratio and 53 mm flute length support controlled chip flow in these materials.
