The KENNAMETAL 3637463 is a solid carbide corner radius end mill designed for precision milling in non-ferrous metal applications. Built to the ABDE series standard, this single-end, center-cutting tool features 3 flutes arranged in a right-hand spiral with a high helix style and coarse pitch. The 8 mm cutting diameter and 20 mm length of cut make it well-suited for roughing operations where material removal rate and edge integrity are both priorities. The submicron carbide grade provides the hardness and wear resistance needed to maintain dimensional accuracy through demanding cuts. The bright/uncoated finish is appropriate for the non-ferrous materials this tool targets.

This end mill is intended for machining non-ferrous metals such as aluminum, copper, and brass alloys in both shop and production environments. The straight-cylindrical shank seats directly into ER single angle standard collets, making it compatible with a wide range of CNC machining centers and manual mills. The 63 mm overall length and 8 mm shank diameter keep the tool compact and rigid, reducing deflection during roughing passes. It is not designed for ferrous or hardened workpiece materials.

Installation Notes

Installation should be performed by a qualified machinist following standard toolholding procedures. Power down and lock out the spindle before inserting or removing the tool. Seat the shank fully within the collet to the recommended gauge depth and torque the collet nut according to the toolholder manufacturer specifications. Inspect the cutting edges and corner radius for chips or wear before each use; a damaged edge should not be run.
