The KENNAMETAL 3580803 is a solid carbide corner radius end mill designed for high-performance material removal in steel, superalloys, and titanium. It features a 0.5-inch mill diameter, a 0.03-inch corner radius, and five flutes with a high-helix, right-hand spiral configuration. The AlTiN PVD coating provides thermal resistance and extended tool life under demanding cutting conditions. With a 1.25-inch length of cut and a 3-inch overall length, this is a single-end tool built for both roughing and finishing operations. It is intended for use in professional CNC machining environments with standard end mill toolholders.
This end mill is suited for milling steel and high-temperature alloys including superalloys and titanium in production machining applications. The UDDE series geometry supports normal pitch cutting on CNC vertical and horizontal machining centers. A straight cylindrical shank with a 0.5-inch diameter fits standard collet and hydraulic toolholders. The tool is not center-cutting and does not support coolant-through capability, so it is best applied in applications where flood or mist coolant is delivered externally.
Designed for use with standard end mill toolholders. Primary workpiece materials are steel, superalloys, and titanium (material codes P and S). Suited for CNC machining centers requiring a 0.5-inch shank diameter collet or toolholder.
Installation should be performed by a qualified machinist or CNC setup technician. Ensure the toolholder bore and collet are clean and within tolerance before seating the shank. Verify spindle direction is set to right-hand rotation before engaging the cut. Do not use this tool for plunge cutting, as it is not center-cutting.
