The KENNAMETAL 3524445 is a solid carbide corner radius end mill designed for high-performance material removal in demanding machining environments. Built to the UCDE series specification, this single-end tool features a 12 mm cutting diameter, a 26 mm length of cut, and a 0.75 mm corner radius that reduces stress concentrations and extends tool life at the cutting edge. The five-flute geometry supports both roughing and finishing operations in a single tool, and the AlTiN PVD coating provides thermal resistance and hardness at elevated cutting temperatures. Machinists and tooling specialists working in CNC milling applications will find this tool suited for high-feed and high-speed strategies on ferrous and exotic materials.
This end mill is engineered for use on steel, stainless steel, cast iron, superalloys, titanium, and hard materials. It is well suited for aerospace, die and mold, and general precision machining applications where tight tolerances and surface finish consistency are required. The right-hand flute direction and right-hand cutting geometry are standard for conventional CNC vertical and horizontal milling setups. The straight-cylindrical shank is compatible with ER single angle standard collets, making it easy to integrate into existing toolholding systems.
Compatible with ER single angle standard collets. Designed for use on steel, stainless steel, cast iron, superalloys, titanium, and hard materials as part of the KENNAMETAL UCDE series.
Installation should be performed by a qualified machinist or tooling technician. Ensure the machine spindle is fully stopped and the tool holder is cleaned and inspected before mounting. Seat the shank fully into the collet and tighten to the collet nut specification for the holder being used. Verify runout with a dial indicator before beginning a cut, as excessive runout accelerates wear on a multi-flute carbide tool.
