The KENNAMETAL 3381174 is a solid carbide replaceable tip drill insert in the KSEM series, designed for use with compatible KSEM modular drill bodies in metalcutting applications. It carries the ISO designation KSEM1156HPL and features an HPL insert geometry with a 140-degree drill point angle and a helical, 2-flute, 2-margin configuration. The insert is coated with AlTiN via a PVD process, providing thermal resistance and wear protection during drilling of ferrous and non-ferrous materials. The cutting diameter is 1-5/32 inches (29.73mm). This insert is installed by machinists and toolroom technicians using a clamp-style holding method on the drill body.
