The KENNAMETAL 3023165 is a solid carbide milling insert designed for high-performance face and shoulder milling in demanding metal-cutting applications. Identified by ISO code EDPT180548PDERHD and ANSI code EP1848EHD, this insert features a parallelogram shape with a positive rake geometry and a 15-degree relief angle. The TiAlN coating is applied via PVD process, delivering strong resistance to heat and wear when cutting ferrous and exotic materials. At 0.794 inches long, 0.423 inches wide, and 0.217 inches thick, with a 3/16-inch corner radius, this insert is built for right-hand cutting with a honed edge and HD chip breaker. This insert is suited for milling steel, stainless steel, superalloys, and titanium — material grades P, M, and S.
