The KENNAMETAL 2624254 is an indexable square-shoulder face mill designed for precision milling operations in metalworking and machining environments. Built to the Mill 1-14 series standard, this cutter accepts seven EC14 or EP14 series inserts secured by screws, delivering a 2.5-inch maximum cutting diameter and a maximum depth of cut of 0.56 inches (14.22 mm). The right-hand cutting direction and 0/90 degree lead angle make it well suited for square-shoulder profiling and face milling on ferrous and non-ferrous materials. Through-coolant capability supports extended insert life and chip evacuation at higher feed rates. The arbor hole diameter of 0.75 inches fits standard milling machine arbors and horizontal or vertical machining center spindles.
This face mill is intended for use in production machining, job shop environments, and toolroom applications where square-shoulder accuracy is required. It is appropriate for CNC vertical machining centers and horizontal milling machines operating with coolant-through tooling systems. The 40 mm overall body height and 1.75-inch hub diameter suit standard arbor mounting configurations. Machinists and tooling engineers working with medium to large milling platforms will find this cutter fits within common setup workflows requiring a compact, high-insert-count face mill in the 2.5-inch diameter class.
Compatible with EC14 and EP14 series indexable inserts. Designed for use with standard 0.75-inch arbor mounting systems on CNC vertical and horizontal machining centers within the Mill 1-14 series tooling platform.
Installation should be performed by a qualified machinist or tooling technician. Ensure the spindle is fully stopped and the machine is locked out before mounting or removing the cutter body. Verify arbor and insert seating torque per the machine tool and insert manufacturer guidelines before initiating a cut. Inspect insert pockets and coolant passages for debris before each use.
