Manufactured to the NG3072 insert style within the Top Notch series, it carries a TiAlN coating applied via PVD process, delivering heat resistance and extended tool life in a range of ferrous and non-ferrous workpiece materials. The insert has a left-hand orientation, a 1.83 mm cutting width, and a maximum depth of cut of 2.39 mm. A corner radius of 0.19 mm and a neutral rake geometry support controlled chip formation. This insert is installed and replaced by machinists and CNC tooling technicians in production and job-shop environments.
The 2598760 is suited for grooving applications requiring metric-class tooling with a defined depth-of-cut range of 2.00 mm to 3.00 mm.
