It features an octagon shape with 8 cutting edges, a TiAlN coating applied via PVD process, and a positive rake geometry with a 5-degree rake angle. This insert is installed by qualified machinists or tooling technicians. Power down and lock out the machine spindle before changing inserts. Seat the insert fully in the pocket and secure with the clamping screw to the torque specified by the cutter body manufacturer. Inspect the pocket seat and screw threads for damage before installation to avoid insert movement under cutting load.
