The KENNAMETAL 2425306 is a solid carbide jobber-length drill bit designed for high-performance hole-making in demanding industrial and trade applications. The drill features a 140-degree split point with web thinning to reduce thrust force and improve centering on entry. A TiAlN coating increases surface hardness and thermal resistance, extending tool life in dry or semi-dry cutting conditions. The straight cylindrical shank measures 6 mm in diameter, and the overall length is 2.9134 inches (74 mm). Right-hand spiral flutes and a parallel web configuration promote chip evacuation and cutting stability across a range of workpiece materials.
This drill bit is suited for production and maintenance drilling in steel, stainless steel, cast iron, aluminum, and other non-ferrous materials. It conforms to DIN 6537L geometry, making it a recognized standard for jobber-length carbide drills used in CNC machining centers, drill presses, and handheld power tools with compatible chucks. Coolant-through capability supports use in high-volume or deep-hole applications where heat management is critical. It is used by machinists, industrial maintenance technicians, and fabrication professionals.
Designed as an OEM-specification jobber drill conforming to DIN 6537L geometry, suitable for use in standard straight-shank drill chucks and collet holders accepting a 6 mm shank diameter. Rated for primary workpiece materials including steel, stainless steel, cast iron, aluminum, and non-ferrous alloys.
Installation and use should be performed by qualified machinists or maintenance technicians familiar with rotating cutting tool safety. Secure the shank fully in the chuck or collet before operation and verify runout before beginning a cut. Power down the machine and lock out energy sources before changing or inspecting the tool. Do not exceed the drill manufacturer's recommended speeds and feeds for the workpiece material and machine type.
