The set covers a capacity range from 1/16 inch (0.0625 inches) to 13/32 inch (0.4063 inches), with size increments of 1/32 inch, giving machinists a complete selection for the most common shank diameters in the ER16 system. All 12 collets conform to the ER standard, ensuring consistent runout performance and reliable clamping force across the full range.
This set is suited for production machining shops, tool rooms, and job shops where a full ER16 collet range is needed without sourcing individual sizes. The ER16 system is widely used in compact spindles and high-speed machining applications for both ferrous and non-ferrous workpiece materials. Installation is performed by qualified machinists or CNC setup technicians. Power down and lock out the machine spindle before seating or removing collets. Use the appropriate ER16 collet nut and spanner wrench for proper torque — do not use makeshift tools that may damage the collet or nut threads. Inspect collets for wear, nicks, or out-of-round condition before each use, as damaged collets can compromise runout and workpiece accuracy.
