The KENNAMETAL 2267644 is an indexable square-shoulder face mill designed for precision milling operations in metal cutting applications. Built to the Mill 1-18 series specification, it accepts EC18.. and EP18.. style inserts held in place by screws and delivers a maximum cutting diameter of 4 inches (101.60 mm) with a maximum depth of cut of 0.71 inches (18.03 mm). The cutter runs in a right-hand cutting direction and features through-coolant capability, helping to manage heat and chip evacuation during aggressive face milling passes. Machinists and toolroom professionals working on CNC machining centers or manual knee mills will find this body suited for square-shoulder profiling and face milling of ferrous and non-ferrous materials.
This face mill is sized for medium to large machining operations where a 4-inch cutter diameter is appropriate, such as squaring stock, surfacing large flat features, or stepping down shoulders on workpieces. The 1-1/2-inch arbor hole diameter fits standard arbor-style spindle toolholding setups common in horizontal and vertical machining centers. With 8 insert pockets and a 0/90 degree lead angle, the cutter produces true 90-degree walls, making it well-suited for shoulder milling as well as face milling tasks. The overall cutter body height is 2 inches, and the keyway width of 0.6441 inches provides positive rotational drive engagement on the arbor.
Compatible with EC18.. and EP18.. series indexable inserts. Designed for use with 1-1/2-inch arbor toolholding systems on vertical or horizontal machining centers within the KENNAMETAL Mill 1-18 series platform.
Installation should be performed by a qualified machinist or toolroom technician. Always power down and lock out the machine spindle before mounting or demounting the cutter body. Verify arbor and keyway fit before torquing the retention hardware, and confirm insert seating and screw torque per the KENNAMETAL Mill 1-18 tooling assembly documentation. Inspect insert pockets for debris or damage before loading new inserts.
