The KENNAMETAL 2245045 is a solid carbide turning insert with a TiAlN PVD coating, designed for general turning, facing, and boring operations across a wide range of workpiece materials. It carries the ANSI designation CNMG432 and ISO designation CNMG120408, and belongs to Kennametal's KENLOC series. The insert features an 80-degree diamond (rhombic) shape, a neutral hand orientation, and a negative rake and side clearance geometry. With four usable cutting edges, it delivers a balance of moderate wear resistance and toughness suited to interrupted and continuous cuts. The RP chip breaker geometry is rated for roughing and medium machining applications.
