The KENNAMETAL 2049487 is a solid carbide jobber drill designed for high-performance hole-making in demanding metal-cutting applications. It measures 5.10 mm in diameter with an overall length of 82.00 mm (3.2283 inches) and features a 140-degree point angle for aggressive, self-centering entry. The drill is coated with TiAlN (Titanium Aluminum Nitride), which extends tool life at elevated cutting temperatures. A web-thinned, parallel-web geometry reduces thrust force at drill entry. This tool is intended for use by machinists, tool-and-die professionals, and industrial maintenance technicians working with precision drilling equipment.
This jobber drill is suited for production and maintenance drilling in steel, stainless steel, cast iron, aluminum, and other non-ferrous materials. The straight cylindrical shank accepts standard drill chucks and collet systems. With a flute length of 44.00 mm (1.7323 inches) and a maximum drilling depth of 35.00 mm, it fits typical jobber-length drilling cycles on CNC machining centers, drill presses, and manual machines.
