The KENNAMETAL 1920413 is a modular turning profiling head designed for precision external turning and profiling operations on CNC lathes and turning centers. Built to the KM12 modular tooling interface standard, this right-hand cutting head features a 15 mm head length projection and an 8 mm center-to-cutting-edge distance, allowing accurate positioning of the cutting zone relative to the workpiece centerline. It accepts CC..09T308 series inserts and is intended for installation by machinists and tooling technicians working in production or job-shop turning environments.
This profiling head is suited for right-hand turning operations requiring a compact, interchangeable modular tooling solution. The KM12 interface provides repeatable positioning when swapping heads on compatible modular toolholders, making it appropriate for high-mix production cells where quick changeover matters. Typical applications include contour turning, shoulder profiling, and general external turning on small-diameter workpieces or in tight-clearance situations where a full-size toolholder would not fit.
Designed for use with CC..09T308 series inserts on KM12-compatible modular toolholders and turning systems.
Installation should be performed by a qualified machinist or tooling technician. Power down and lock out the machine spindle before mounting or removing modular heads. Ensure all mating surfaces on the KM12 interface are clean and free of chips or debris before assembly, as contamination affects seating accuracy. Follow the toolholder manufacturer's specified clamping procedure for the KM12 coupling to achieve correct clamping force and positional repeatability.
