The KENNAMETAL 1913606 is a solid carbide jobber-length drill designed for high-performance hole-making in a wide range of metalworking applications. Built to DIN 6537L standards, it features a 15.00 mm cutting diameter, a 140-degree split point, and a TiAlN coating that extends tool life under elevated cutting temperatures. The web-thinned geometry reduces thrust forces at entry and improves chip evacuation. Overall length is 133.00 mm with a flute length of 83.00 mm. Internal coolant-through capability makes it suitable for deep-hole operations where heat and chip buildup are primary concerns. This drill is specified by machinists and toolroom technicians working in production and job-shop environments.
This jobber drill is intended for drilling steel, stainless steel, cast iron, aluminum, and other non-ferrous materials. The straight cylindrical shank seats in standard drill chucks or collet holders without modification. The 63.00 mm maximum drilling depth, right-hand spiral flute, and parallel web configuration suit it for CNC machining centers, drill presses, and lathe tailstock applications where consistent hole tolerances and finish are required. The diameter tolerance of +0.007 to +0.025 mm supports close-tolerance work in production settings.
Compatible with steel, stainless steel, cast iron, aluminum, and non-ferrous workpiece materials as stated in the manufacturer specifications. The 16 mm straight cylindrical shank fits standard ER collet chucks and drill chucks sized for that shank diameter.
Installation and tool changes must be performed with the machine in a fully de-energized and locked-out state per standard lockout/tagout procedures. Seat the straight shank fully into the collet or chuck and verify runout before beginning a cut. Coolant-through tooling requires a compatible spindle and coolant delivery system to be connected and verified before operation. Handle carbide tooling carefully to avoid chipping the cutting edges during setup and storage.
