The KENNAMETAL 1913593 is a solid carbide jobber-length drill bit engineered for high-performance drilling in demanding shop environments. It features an 11.00 mm (0.4331 inch) cutting diameter, a 140-degree split point for reduced thrust and self-centering entry, and a TiAlN coating that extends tool life at elevated cutting temperatures. The straight cylindrical shank measures 12 mm in diameter and seats directly into standard chucks and collet holders. Right-hand spiral fluting evacuates chips efficiently across the 71.00 mm flute length. This drill is intended for use by machinists and tooling professionals on CNC machining centers, drill presses, and manual lathes where tight tolerances and consistent hole quality are required.
The 1913593 is designed primarily for drilling steel, stainless steel, cast iron, and aluminum and non-ferrous materials. Its web-thinned, parallel-web geometry reduces cutting forces when entering harder alloys and stainless grades. Coolant-through capability makes it well-suited for deep-hole work in production settings where internal coolant delivery is available. The drill conforms to DIN 6537L, making it a direct fit for applications where that specification is called out. Typical installation scenarios include production drilling on machined components and fabricated parts where hole diameter tolerance, surface finish, and tool life are critical considerations.
Conforms to DIN 6537L specification. Fits standard straight-shank chucks and collet systems accepting a 12 mm shank diameter. Suitable for steel, stainless steel, cast iron, aluminum, and non-ferrous workpiece materials as specified by the manufacturer.
Installation should be performed by a qualified machinist or tooling technician. Ensure the machine spindle is fully stopped and locked out before changing or seating the drill. Confirm the chuck or collet is rated for the 12 mm shank diameter and that runout is within acceptable limits before initiating a cut. When using coolant-through capability, verify that the machine tool spindle and toolholder are configured to deliver coolant internally before engaging the cut.
