Product Description

The KENNAMETAL 1913592 is a solid carbide jobber-length drill bit designed for high-performance hole-making in demanding industrial applications. It measures 10.70 mm (0.4213 inches) in diameter with an overall length of 118.00 mm (4.646 inches) and a flute length of 71.00 mm (2.795 inches). The 140-degree split point geometry promotes accurate entry and reduces thrust force at the start of the cut. A TiAlN coating provides thermal resistance and extended tool life when drilling at elevated speeds. This drill is installed and used by machinists and tool-and-die professionals on CNC machining centers and manual drill presses where tight tolerances are required.

This drill is suited for production and job-shop environments targeting steel, stainless steel, cast iron, aluminum, and other non-ferrous materials. The right-hand cutting direction and regular spiral flute configuration support efficient chip evacuation in through-hole and deep-hole drilling scenarios. Coolant-through capability allows internal delivery of cutting fluid directly to the cutting edge, making it well-suited for deeper drilling operations up to a maximum drilling depth of 56.00 mm (2.205 inches). It conforms to DIN 6537L specification, making it a recognized standard for European and global tooling interchangeability.

Key Features

  • Solid carbide construction in material grade KC7315 for rigidity and wear resistance
  • TiAlN coating for high-temperature performance and extended tool life
  • 140-degree point angle with web-thinned geometry for accurate starts and reduced thrust
  • Coolant-through design delivers cutting fluid directly to the drill tip
  • Straight cylindrical shank with 12.00 mm (0.472 inch) shank diameter for standard chuck compatibility
  • Conforms to DIN 6537L specification for standardized tooling interchangeability

Compatibility

Compatible with primary workpiece materials including steel, stainless steel, cast iron, aluminum, and non-ferrous alloys. Fits standard drill chucks and collet holders accepting a 12.00 mm straight cylindrical shank. Sized within the 10.00 mm to 12.50 mm drill bit range per DIN specification designation.

Installation Notes

This drill is installed by machinists in CNC machining centers or manual drill presses with appropriate collet or drill chuck systems. Ensure the machine spindle is fully stopped and locked out before changing tooling. Verify chuck or collet bore matches the 12.00 mm shank diameter to prevent runout and premature tool wear. When using coolant-through capability, confirm the machine spindle and toolholder support internal coolant delivery before use.
