The KENNAMETAL 1913591 is a solid carbide jobber-length drill bit designed for high-performance hole-making in demanding production environments. Ground to a 140-degree split point with web thinning, it delivers fast penetration and reduced thrust compared to standard 118-degree geometry. The TiAlN coating provides thermal resistance and extended tool life at elevated cutting speeds. At 10.50 mm in diameter with an overall length of 4.6457 inches (118 mm), this drill is built to DIN 6537L specification and features through-coolant capability for deep-hole applications. It is suited for machinists, toolroom technicians, and CNC operators working in high-volume or precision environments.
This drill is intended for use on steel, stainless steel, cast iron, aluminum, and other non-ferrous materials. The straight cylindrical shank at 12 mm (0.4724 inches) fits standard drill chucks and collet holders. With a maximum drilling depth of 2.2047 inches (56 mm) and a flute length of 2.7953 inches (71 mm), it handles typical jobber-depth applications on vertical machining centers, drill presses, and CNC lathes. Through-coolant capability makes it well suited for harder alloys and chip evacuation at depth.
Designed for use in steel, stainless steel, cast iron, aluminum, and non-ferrous workpiece materials per manufacturer specification. Fits standard drill chucks and collet holders accepting a 12 mm straight shank.
Installation and use should be performed by qualified machinists or toolroom personnel familiar with carbide tooling. Ensure the machine spindle and toolholder are clean and free of runout before seating the shank. Carbide drills are brittle compared to HSS — avoid interrupted cuts or side loading without appropriate feed and speed parameters. Engage through-coolant supply before initiating the cut when drilling deep holes or hard alloys.
