The KENNAMETAL 1913590 is a solid carbide jobber-length drill designed for high-performance hole-making in ferrous and non-ferrous materials. It carries a TiAlN coating that extends tool life in demanding cutting conditions. The 140-degree point angle improves self-centering and reduces thrust force compared to conventional 118-degree geometry. With an overall length of 4.6457 inches and a flute length of 2.7953 inches, this drill is sized for production drilling on CNC machining centers and high-speed drill presses. A web-thinned tip and regular spiral flute geometry support efficient chip evacuation. Coolant-through capability allows internal coolant delivery directly to the cutting edge, making it well-suited for deeper holes and higher feed rates in controlled machining environments.
This drill is intended for use in ferrous and non-ferrous production machining applications, including steel, stainless steel, cast iron, aluminum, and other non-ferrous alloys. The straight cylindrical shank with a 12 mm shank diameter fits standard ER collets and drill chucks on CNC machining centers, lathes, and drill presses. A maximum drilling depth of 2.2047 inches makes it suitable for through-holes and blind holes in typical workpiece thicknesses encountered in metalworking shops and manufacturing facilities. It is manufactured to DIN 6537L specification, a common standard used in tool procurement and interchangeability verification.
Designed for use in steel, stainless steel, cast iron, aluminum, and non-ferrous workpiece materials. The 12 mm straight cylindrical shank is compatible with standard ER collet chucks, Weldon-style holders, and keyed drill chucks accepting that shank diameter. Conforms to DIN 6537L specification.
Installation and tool changes should be performed by a qualified machinist with the machine in a locked-out, de-energized state per applicable lockout/tagout procedures. Verify collet or chuck runout before use, as excessive runout accelerates wear and can cause premature breakage in carbide tooling. Confirm that the coolant-through supply is active and at adequate pressure before initiating cuts where internal coolant is relied upon for chip evacuation. Do not exceed the tool manufacturer's recommended feed and speed parameters for the workpiece material.
