The KENNAMETAL 1913587 is a solid carbide jobber-length drill bit with a TiAlN coating and a 140-degree split point designed for high-performance drilling in demanding production environments. At 9.50 mm in diameter with an overall length of 4.0551 inches and a flute length of 2.4016 inches, this drill is built for precision hole-making in steel, stainless steel, cast iron, aluminum, and other non-ferrous materials. The web-thinned geometry reduces entry force and improves chip evacuation. Coolant-through capability supports high-speed, deep-hole applications where heat and chip removal are critical concerns. This is a tool-room and production-floor drill intended for use by machinists and CNC operators.
This drill is suited for automated machining centers, CNC lathes with live tooling, and manual drill presses in job shops and production facilities. The straight cylindrical shank fits standard collet chucks and drill chucks accepting a 10 mm shank diameter. Primary workpiece materials include steel, stainless steel, cast iron, aluminum, and non-ferrous alloys. With a maximum drilling depth of 1.9291 inches and a shank length of 1.5748 inches, it fits a wide range of toolholding setups. The DIN 6537L specification ensures dimensional consistency for shops requiring standardized tooling across multiple setups.
Compatible with toolholders and collet chucks accepting a 10 mm straight cylindrical shank. Suitable for steel, stainless steel, cast iron, aluminum, and non-ferrous workpiece materials per manufacturer specifications. Conforms to DIN 6537L dimensional standards.
Installation and tool changes should be performed by qualified machinists with the machine powered down and locked out per applicable safety procedures. Ensure the toolholder is clean and free of debris before seating the shank to maintain runout accuracy. Coolant-through systems should be verified for adequate pressure and flow before beginning high-speed drilling cycles. Do not exceed the rated maximum drilling depth of 1.9291 inches without confirming chip clearance and coolant delivery.
