The KENNAMETAL 1913570 is a solid carbide jobber-length drill bit with a TiAlN coating and a 140-degree split point designed for high-performance drilling in demanding shop and production environments. At 4.60 mm in diameter with an overall length of 2.913 inches (74.00 mm), the bit runs right-hand cutting with a regular spiral flute and a web-thinned, parallel-web geometry. The straight cylindrical shank measures 6 mm in diameter and fits standard drill chucks. Coolant-through capability supports high-speed machining applications where heat management is critical to tool life and hole quality.
This drill is suited for production machining on CNC machining centers, drill presses, and multi-spindle setups. Primary workpiece materials include steel, stainless steel, cast iron, aluminum, and other non-ferrous metals. The TiAlN coating provides oxidation resistance and hardness retention at elevated cutting temperatures, making it a practical choice for interrupted cuts and abrasive alloys. It meets DIN 6537L specification, which governs long-series carbide drills for precision hole-making.
Designed as an OEM-specification replacement or direct-use drill conforming to DIN 6537L for solid carbide jobber drills in the 4.00 mm to 5.00 mm diameter range. Compatible with standard straight-shank chuck holders and collet systems accepting a 6 mm shank diameter.
Installation and use of this tool should be performed by a qualified machinist or CNC operator familiar with solid carbide tooling requirements. Verify chuck or collet runout before use, as excessive runout accelerates carbide fatigue and premature fracture. Ensure coolant-through connections at the spindle are engaged and delivering adequate flow before starting the cut. Follow machine manufacturer guidelines and applicable shop safety standards when setting feeds, speeds, and depth of cut for solid carbide drills.
