The KENNAMETAL 1878090 is an indexable cutoff blade tool block designed for parting and grooving operations on CNC lathes and turning centers. Built to Style A2TZN geometry, it accepts blades with a compatible blade height of 32mm (1.2598 inches) and features a reversible design that extends tooling life by allowing the block to be flipped when one side wears. With a shank height and shank width both measuring 1.25 inches and an overall length of 4.33 inches, this block is sized for rigid, stable clamping in standard tool posts. Licensed machinists and CNC operators working in production turning environments are the primary users.
This tool block is suited for production turning applications requiring consistent, repeatable cutoff performance. It is compatible with A2 Cut-Off Series blades and is configured for neutral insert cutting direction, making it appropriate for standard right-to-left infeed cutoff cycles. The block does not include coolant-through capability, so external coolant delivery should be arranged when cutting heat-sensitive materials. Typical applications include bar stock parting, groove turning, and face grooving on manual or CNC lathes in job shop and production environments.

Confirm blade seating and insert torque per the blade manufacturer's specifications before taking a cut. Inspect the block for wear or damage each time the blade or insert is changed.
